A forever home designed to operate for a young family, this three bedroom loft sits at the top of the iconic Textile Building. Oiled white oak paneling wraps an existing chimney stack, distinguishing two formal and informal seating areas.

The primary bath is enveloped in slabs of linear roman travertine and the powder room in a hand-painted floral wallpaper. A custom round dining table provides the foundation for everyday, surrounded by chairs in the style of Royere. A mix of furnishings both soft and upholstered with sharp and industrial play on the beams in the loft building, respecting the architecture of the neighborhood.

The clients’ own artworks set the tone throughout: heirloom cream leather chairs, an oversized blue painting and framed lithographs. This project is a study in contrast, both in hue and form.
